We were assigned by ecologist Corylus and contractor Costain to design and make a bat house to be attached to the underside of a motorway bridge. Using concrete, it recreates a cave-like habitat for the bats. Instead of traditional rigid form works, we used fabric moulds to create an organic shape of the Bat Haus.

Costain ordered 8 Bat Haus in the end and they are now somewhere along the M5.
