Architects are a professional body. We act as an agent on your behalf to turn your aspirations into reality. We will guide you through the design, planning and construction process whether you are constructing a new building or adapting an existing property. We adhere to the structure of the RIBA stages of work, providing architectural services which can be commissioned in full or in part.

In short, we offer three main types of service:

1)  Full Service

Whether it would be a Tradition Service or Architect-led Design & Build, we would work with you from the beginning till the end. This is to ensure the delivery of the project would be as you expected. We will guide you through each stage of the building journey, fulfilling the legislative requirements, and managing other consultants. This service is suitable for client who has little experience or wish to have less hassle in the project involvement. 

2)  Design Only

Design Only service allow us to present our creative solutions to your projects. We limit our scope of service to the point we submit our design information to you or making planning application. This service is suitable for client has sufficient knowledge to manage their project, Design & Build projects or on those project which is uncertain to commence work. 

3)  Consultation

Getting a professional opinion from an architect does not need to break the bank. We offer a pay-as-you-go consultation service to suit your need. It can be anything; site visit, spatial design, feasibility studies, concept design, alterations applications, survey, drawings…etc.

Some projects may not be as simple as some may think. An hour brainstorm session with us is well worth to explore the potentials of your ideas, as well as knowing the extensive impacts and technical issues that you might not have thought of. Our standard consultation hourly rate at £110 +VAT, will be the key step to ensure your multi-thousands pounds investment is set off in the right course.

Construction (Design & Management) Regulation 2015

The CDM Regulations is a legal requirement and enforceable by criminal law on all construction projects, including refurbishment. They are set out to limit hazards to workers during construction and place legal duties on clients, designers and contractors to ensure that risks are minimised both in the design process and in construction.

Avid Architects is certified and can act as the Principal Designer for you. Our awareness of the situation and the challenges helps us make effective design decisions to aid your project.

Building Control Application 

Designing safe buildings is an absolute paramount objective to us as architects. We can help you to take the lead in submitting a Building Control Application. Comply with building regulations is a legal requirement and enforceable by criminal law on all construction projects, including alternations. They are set out to protect the occupiers inside the building as well as the surrounding public. It is required by the local authority to be notified of the work.
